Re:publica was in the BerlinSaloon and discussed with Cory Doctorow and Markus Beckedahl the highly disputed legal situation around the EU copyright law. Furthermore, Lab1886 as the main partner of the Sequencer Tour in Austin with Paul Lafata shared the newest innovations at a panel about the mobility of the future, that aimed to tackle questions around who gets access to the new mobility possibilities and who owns the data generated? Together with Lab1886, ViaVan, Aspen Institute and Markus Beckedahl, David Zipper led a lively discussion. The next media accelerator offered European start-ups the opportunity to network with American investors via the Media Matches, one of the key formats of the successful accelerator. And the SXSW-oldie Reeperbahn Festival discussed gender equality in the music business in the German House - and in the evening hosted the best burgers in town.
